2 Week Lashem Use!

So today makes it exactly 2 weeks since I have started using Lashem eyelash growth serum! Lashem insists that longer, fuller and darker lashes will appear after 2 weeks and fully by the end of the 4-6 weeks course. My lashes are naturally lengthy, after my 2 weeks use of Lashem I have not noticed any difference in the length or thickness of my lashes. Surprisingly, I am not upset! I am usually a person who needs to see INSTANT results, but I know that with these types of products each persons results may vary. I met a lady who used a different lash growth serum and she said that she didn't see any results UNTIL the fifth or sixth week! I'll be back with another update in 2 more weeks! :)

Ahem...please excuse my eyebrow!

Fashion Night Out: LA Style Pt 2!

I know I'm a little late but here are some pics from Beverly Centers' Fashion's Night Out that took place last Friday September 10, 2010! The event was so much fun and I think it was very successful for the tenants in the mall as well! It started with an introduction from Los Angeles' mayor Villaraigosa, Vogue's Lisa Love and Will.i.Am of the Black Eyed Peas. Their were two fashion shows, live art performances, and tons of fun activities and special deals in the stores. Can't wait for next year!

Enjoy the pics! (Even though they are out of order o_0) :)

Fashion Night Out: LA Style!

This Friday, September 10th, is going to be amazing! Fashion Night Out is an "unprecedented global initiative to celebrate everything in the world of fashion and to restore consumer confidence." -Beverly Center FNO will be celebrating its second anniversary in 12 cities around the world, I am very excited because this years event will be taking place at the mall where I work, Beverly City in Los Angeles, CA! This will be a star studded event that is being hosted by Will.I.Am of musical group The Black Eyed Peas and Lisa Love, west coast editor of Vogue magazine.

The purpose for this event is to get consumers out and excited about fashion again. With the way the economy has been the past few years some consumers are still hesitant to splurge at the mall! Having an evening of fashion shows, music, celebrities, shopper incentives and so much more will be enough to make even the most frugal person want to come out and have what is SURE to be a good time!

*non-crystallized version* $25
Almost all of the shops in Beverly Center will be having in store events, limited edition merchandise, treats, discounts and more! My store, Henri Bendel, will have the official Fashion Night Out t-shirt and the limited edition version with Swarovski crystals. Our in house illustrator, IZAK, will also his limited edition canvas tote bags with 6 of his trademarked designs with sales benefiting the NYC AIDS Fund! *While supplies last* The staff is super excited about this event, we will have the music blasting and we are all dressing with a Lady Gaga theme! (I'm more of a Victoria Beckhman, but I digress, I am one of her 'monsters' after all!!)
In addition to the fabulousness happening inside BC, surrounding areas of West Hollywood, Century City and the heart of Beverly Hills will also be having extravagances! A carnival sized ferris wheel is to be set up on Rodeo Drive (above).

Lashem

As you know, I recently went to the product launch party for a new eyelash growth product called Lashem. This product guarantees noticeable results in 2 weeks and full results in 6 weeks. I started using the product on August 31st, my first two weeks is up September 13th. I will for sure be giving you an update of whether I have results!

P.s my mom was a bit annoyed at me for using this product because my lashes are naturally very lengthy. She says someone who really needs the product should be using it, no me!! I want my lashes extra long! :)

Crossing the Color Lines

Interracial dating...we see it all the time, it's nothing new. As of late, I have been getting pretty annoyed at people's ignorant opinions of why a certain person chooses to be with someone of a different race. I strongly believe that there is absolutely nothing wrong with dating outside of your race...I also believe that by doing so does NOT mean that you have issues with the males/females of your own race that would make you look elsewhere. To think that for so many years that it was taboo and against the law to date outside of your race and now we have the right to date whoever we so choose and people still take second looks in disbelief is beyond me.

I my self am not too much of a dater in the first place, but I welcome all races to have a shot at my heart! I have never actually dated anyone outside of my race but this Caucasian guy that I did want to be with said that he couldn't be with me because his family wouldn't approve, figures. Whenever I have those dreams of me being married with kids, my husband is almost never the same race as I am. I don't there is anything wrong with that. As long as I am treated well and I truly believe that I want to spend the rest of my life with this person, I don't care if he's purple!

People look too much into interracial couples. How many times have you heard "He's with that black girl because he wants a freak," or "She's with that white man because she want a rich man who will take care of her."? For every case of an interracial couple do you really think that those are the reasons behind them? Not at all.

Actor Brian White (widely known from his role in Stomp the Yard) recently married his longtime girlfriend Paula da Silva who is not black. Boy did bitter black women across the states have a fit over this! When I saw the wedding photos my first thought was, "Oh wow they look cute together!" However, the thoughts of MANY black women was "Had to go get a white girl didn't he?" I even seen a woman on twitter who said that she now has to unfollow him because of his decision, saying that "It's a damn shame!" It's a damn shame that he married a beautiful woman who he is CLEARLY in love with? I don't get it.
They look beautiful together

Living in a world where I can choose from thousands of different races of people that I could be with, why should we limit ourselves to just "our race?" Love is an art, whether you find that art in your race or a different one, be with who makes YOU happy! At the end of the day you are the one who has to look that person in the eyes...not society!

My other favorite interracial couples!

Gabe and Halle (they are no longer but dang I loved them!)

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton

I am in love with these two! David Bowe and the beautiful Iman!
