Thanksgiving is Upon Us!

Boy, this year has just flew by right in front of my eyes! I can't believe that Thanksgiving is a little over a week away! What kinds of plans do you all have? I am very pleased to say that this will be my first year in three years that I will NOT be alone! I am enjoying Thanksgiving with some new found friends! It is always good to be surrounded by people whom you love and care for, and for the past few years I haven't had that!

Now my priority is trying to come up with new recipes of fun things to make! Here are a few ideas that I found via Betty Crocker!

Apple Crostadas

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Pie

Pear Cranberry Crisp

Turkey Cookies

Turkey Cupcake (via Nellie Cakes)

These are such great (and cute) ideas! I'll let you guys make the decision for me! Which one should I choose?

Sex Is So Casual...Or Am I Just A Prude?

After doing some late night online reading of Cosmopolitan's Sex and Love section, I've come to realize that I am very old fashioned when it comes to sex. Sex is a topic that I just choose not to discuss publicly! Yes I am indeed a prude! I have never been one to wear my sexuality on my sleeve. Give yourself some mystery, don't be an open book about it. So when I read articles about sex I find then intriguing and surprising at the same time. People these days are just so causal about it! I have NEVER thought of sex to be a casual wam-bam-thank-ya-ma'am type of thing! It really boggles my mind! Just saying the word 'sex' makes me blush a little!

Not to say that I don't talk about the subject with my mother, grandmother, and best friends, etc, but those are private and tasteful conversations. The whole world, Facebook and Twitter does not need to know about your sexual dealings. Even your friends and family shouldn't know EVERYTHING! I am an extremely private person and when (which is practically never) I am with someone our business is our business. I would cringe at the thought of him running and telling all of his friends what we talk about, what we do, where we go, etc.

I do love Cosmopolitan for their straight forwardness about the subject of sex, but I'll leave all of the sexual verbiage to them, while I take notes!!

As If I Didn't Like Sesame Street Enough...

...They created a song dedicated to making little ethnic girls love their hair just the way it is! CUTE!

Don't need a trip to the beauty shop, because I love what I've got on top!

7 Week Lashem Use!

So it has been a full 7 weeks since I started using Lashem eyelash growth serum. I must say, the results are not what I expected. I have had very MINIMAL results using it, so minimal that I can barely tell a difference in my upper lashes. They are not longer nor thicker. BUT, I did notice some difference in my lower lashes! (The directions say not to use it on the lower lashes but I have a hard head and soft bottom so I did it anyway!) They are quite longer than they were before. With any product of this sort results may vary with every person and I was just one that it didn't work too well with. I do have friends that had amazing results though, darn it! I will still continue to use the product until it is gone, but I will most likely not be using it again. :(

Not a very noticeable difference! Aww man!

2 Week Lashem Use!

So today makes it exactly 2 weeks since I have started using Lashem eyelash growth serum! Lashem insists that longer, fuller and darker lashes will appear after 2 weeks and fully by the end of the 4-6 weeks course. My lashes are naturally lengthy, after my 2 weeks use of Lashem I have not noticed any difference in the length or thickness of my lashes. Surprisingly, I am not upset! I am usually a person who needs to see INSTANT results, but I know that with these types of products each persons results may vary. I met a lady who used a different lash growth serum and she said that she didn't see any results UNTIL the fifth or sixth week! I'll be back with another update in 2 more weeks! :)

Ahem...please excuse my eyebrow!

Fashion Night Out: LA Style Pt 2!

I know I'm a little late but here are some pics from Beverly Centers' Fashion's Night Out that took place last Friday September 10, 2010! The event was so much fun and I think it was very successful for the tenants in the mall as well! It started with an introduction from Los Angeles' mayor Villaraigosa, Vogue's Lisa Love and Will.i.Am of the Black Eyed Peas. Their were two fashion shows, live art performances, and tons of fun activities and special deals in the stores. Can't wait for next year!

Enjoy the pics! (Even though they are out of order o_0) :)
